Card Size And Type

At Onyx Grading, we maintain specific standards for the types of cards we can grade to ensure quality and consistency. Currently, we accept cards measuring 2.5 inches x 3.5 inches or smaller, and up to 130pts in thickness. It’s important to note that we do not grade custom-made cards or unlicensed reprints, including counterfeits. Any card deemed altered, trimmed, or recolored will be designated as "AA" (altered authentic) on its label.

Avoid Common Mistakes

One of the most common issues we see is damage during transit due to inadequate packaging. Cards can shift or slide out of their holders, leading to potential damage. To prevent this, ensure that each card is placed in a proper Card Saver 1 or Top Loader. Then, sandwich the protected cards between cardboard padding and secure them with rubber bands. We recommend keeping increments to no more than 20 cards per bundle. Proper packaging is essential to maintaining the condition of your cards during shipping.
